Mentoring
Mentoring employs very much the same skills and approach as coaching but is more likely to be a relationship where a more senior mentor guides a 'mentee' through periods of:

Succession and Promotion.

A period of change within a career or in an organisation.

Periods of difficulty

Feeling flat and needing reinvigoration - motivation
The relationship is likely to run for a longer period than coaching and a good mentor / mentee relationship is typically one that develops into a learning opportunity for both parties.
